James' 40th bday and graduation party

How did this happen?  We had a birthday/graduation party for James at a local restaurant and I only have FOUR PICTURES?  It's hard to play hostess and photographer at the same time!

Shepherd turns one

We celebrated Shepherd's first birthday with a pool party at Oma and Papa's house.  As is usual with babies, Shep was more interested in the wrapping and the balloons than the actual presents!  We played in the pool, had a silly string battle, and generally just enjoyed seeing the kids all together.

How adorable is this guy?!

Cousins = buddies

We worked out a pretty convoluted transportation plan for James to get to and from the airport for his Brazil trip.  It worked out so that we were at Oma and Papa's for the Saturday night before mothers' day and for mothers' day morning/lunch.   We had dinner with Brian and Rebecca and the kids; all of the kids even got to eat at their own kids' table.

James' flight landed later than hoped, so we had a late lunch with everyone before heading home.  I love that these five just pick up right where they left off when they see each other!

Of course, the weekend wore this guy out!

Miscellaneous summer pictures...

Oma found these pictures stored on her iPad...most are from Teddy's birthday party at the zoo, but there are a few from Brady's fishing trip with Papa and from Camp OmaPapa last summer...

Fritz

We visited the zoo for Teddy's third birthday party.  Somehow, I only came home with pictures of Shepherd!

Introducing Fritz

Rudy was at Camp OmaPapa when Fritz made his grand entrance, so Rudy was lucky enough to be one of the first to meet the new little guy!  I came down to pick up Rudy and got to visit the whole family in the hospital. It was pretty adorable watching the baby's proud older siblings, especially Ike, dote on their new baby brother.
