Crazy dog
I'm not sure why this is so amusing to us, but it's provided a fair amount of entertainment to us the past few days. We figured out that the ring on our new home phone is what is making Maggie howl.
I've even watched this video several times and it still cracks me up. Maybe it's the fact that she's really not all that talented of a howler??

Merry Christmas morning!
The four of us slept downstairs by the Christmas tree last night to see if we could catch Santa. He came, but he was too sneaky for us!

The primary item on Brady's letter to Santa was the Star Wars Transformer...
Since our vacation last summer, Rudy has been wanting a Blue Angel jet. He was sure to share this with Santa (twice) and anyone else who asked!

Nana and Popsie and the Donaldsons all spent the night so we could open presents together this morning. Brady woke up at 4:30 and acknowledged that Santa had come, but promptly fell back asleep. We all started stirring about 6:30 this morning.

Videos of our "kids" (Brady, Rudy, and Maggie) opening their presents...
After 7 years, Maggie is a pro at present-opening...

Happy Halloween!
We started our day with the flu mist vaccine for the kids, but it got better after that! Brady doesn't usually go to school on Fridays, but we made a special exception for the Halloween party today. While he was there, Rudy got to show off his costume while we ran errands this morning.
Before leaving the house...Rudy insisted on wearing his Halloween underwear from his Aunt Rebecca. I insisted that he wasn't going to wear his costume pants with underwear. I was right - he had an accident within 2 hours!

The boys came home, both exhausted from the week so far. They passed out for really long naps and were woken up by these two goofs (my parents!):

We had "bats, worms, eyeball, and cobweb pasta" (bowtie and macaroni pasta with sliced olives and mozzarella cheese in a tasty pumpkin sauce) and "witches fingers" (hot dogs with crescent rolls and sliced almond fingernails) for dinner and then got into our costumes.

And, here's our superhero family before trick-or-treating:
