Easter 2016

Oma and Papa joined us for Easter weekend.  The boys both had school on Good Friday and soccer games on Saturday, so we weren't able to get away for the weekend.

We squeezed in some last minute egg dying.  We all agreed that we made the ugliest Easter egg ever - one of Ellen's brown eggs and green dye made it look more like an avocado than an egg!

Easter baskets:  fancy chocolate bars, new soccer balls, and Universal Studios gift cards.  Not too shabby.

The Easter bunny hid well over 150 eggs.  These guys were pretty excited to start looking.  I think they each netted about $8 in change, plus a plethora of hard candies and lunchbox snacks.

Of course Easter is one of the days that you have to try to snag a decent picture of everyone together:

Because we can't just take one normal picture and be done.  My favorite part of this picture?  Papa's expression.

Grandma's 2016 visit

Grandma stayed at my parents' house for a little over three weeks this winter.  We managed to see her (and my parents and Brian's family) three weekends in a row, which was quite a treat.  Everyone came up to our house one weekend and caught the boys' indoor soccer game and Rudy's basketball game.  We had a lot of fun watching the kids all play together at the house.

We spent the other two weekends at my parents'.  Valentine's Day was our 'Christmas' gift exchange.  The kids were also treated to an iFly adventure.  We spent a lot of time at the house again, playing games and enjoying the time together.

New presents, and this kid is happy with a styrofoam bowl...

The big kids love nothing more than to sneak up to Brian's old room for some horseplay...

A few rounds of pie face.  Poor Brady got it every single turn!
