Action shots

Not quite Sports Illustrated, but you get the idea! We have a lot of pictures of Brady in motion these days - probably because that's the state he prefers to be in!

Bouncy butt

Brady used to love this pillow too - it vibrates when you put pressure on it...which always produces giggles!

What a great kid!

Keep an eye on this one!

We've noticed lately that Rylan has a particular interest in climbing. It doesn't bother him nearly as much as it does us that he's not all that good at it yet...but you can definitely see the success in his eyes when he gets where he wants to go!

Smilin' Rylan

All Star

S'mores

We took advantage of the good weather to have a little campfire and some s'mores!

Outdoorsman

From the day he came home from the hospital, Rylan has loved being outside. Anytime he is grumpy or fussy, all you have to do is take him outdoors (even if it's freezing) and he'll calm down. Sometimes, all you have to do is take him to a window and let him look outside. The hike this past weekend was no exception...even though it was naptime he was alert and happy the entire time, riding on Kelly's back.

Purple Mountains

We took advantage of the beautiful weather to drive to Shenandoah for a hike. One of Brady's favorite bedtime songs is "America the Beautiful," so he was very excited to be driving to the purple mountains. The weather was perfect and the boys and Maggie were great hikers!

Hokie Nation

Under different circumstances, it might pain us to say this, but...Go Hokies!

Defintion of Entire

Brady: Dad, do you know what entire means?
James: A tire?
Brady: No, “EN-tire.”
James: Do I know what entire means?
Brady: Yeah, like at the end of the day. Entire means at the end of the day.
Kelly and James look at each other, in complete confusion.
Kelly (perplexed): Entire means at the end of the day?
Brady: Yeah, Entire is at the end of a long work day.
Kelly: Like “Daddy had to work the entire day?”
Brady: No, entire, like at the end of a lot of work. Like Papa.
James & Kelly: OHHH, REtire?
Brady: Yeah, retire.

Look, Mom - no hands!

Rylan finally realized he is able to stand today. (I have a video of this as well, but it's not particularly exciting!)

He actually even took 3 steps today as well!
