Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We started the evening with Bat Pasta (bow tie pasta with pumpkin sauce) and a Vampire Sandwich Melt (designed by Brady).

All ready for trick-or-treating...

Not tired

How is it that parents can just tell that a kid needs a nap, even when that kid swears that he is not tired??

The soccer season is over...here's the whole team at the last game...

Contest Winners!

A great start this morning to our Halloween weekend! We all participate in a 5K "run;" Brady did the whole thing and finished in 43 minutes!

We've been planning these costumes since the World Cup over the summer. For the first time in my life, I (we) won a costume contest. (I'm really quite excited about this!)

Wrestling with Charlie

Halloween - Round 1 and 2

We started our Halloween festivities over the weekend with a party at a friend's house. We went, apparently, as three superheroes and a cowboy :)

me, with the lovely hostess:

Rudy decided to be a pirate for his preschool parade:

More comfy-er

James and I went out for a real date night (babysitter for the kids and all!) last week. When we got home and checked on the kids, Rudy was sound asleep on the floor in his sleeping bag. Since then, he's insisted on sleeping on the floor because his bed is "too bouncy and squishy" and the floor is "just more comfy-er."

Of course, when you have to nap in the cart at WalMart, I suppose anywhere is acceptable for night time sleep!

Pumpkin carving

Pumpkin carving time! This year, we had two happy face jack-o-lanterns, and alien, and the PSU lion...

Good cooker

Rudy loves to work in the kitchen lately whenever I'm cooking or baking. He mixes together random ingredients to make an "espearment," which he then usually wants to bake. He tells me has plans to put some sort of filling on his crust, but he always loses interest before he gets to that point!

Picnic and golf

Kathy, the kids, and I had a picnic on the playground on a beautiful Saturday.

Rudy joined Tony and James for the last few holes of golf. James said if Rudy missed his shot, he would just say, "Oh, great." We've noticed that's a common phrase from both kids lately.

Thanksgiving in October

Kathy and Tony came up for a weekend. We had an early Thanksgiving dinner, since we won't see them on the actual holiday...

Halloween Cuteness

There isn't a single picture of my kids in this post, but how could I not share these pictures of my adorable niece??
