Another milestone crossed off last week: we invited one of Brady's friends to join us on an overnight trip to the beach. The boys had a fabulous time. Brady was so excited to be able to show off the area to Jacob!
On the way down...the two big boys watched Scooby Doo in the way back and Rudy got to watch Life all by himself. He was thrilled because when he has to share the DVD player with Brady, Brady usually wants to watch a "real" movie.
Time for a quick swim as soon as we got to Oma and Papa's house:
We headed into Harbor Park for the Tides game and dinner ($.50 hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks!).
Of course, the boys had enough energy for a night swim after the game...
A few cartoons Wednesday morning:
Some pool flips and beach boogey boarding:
Put the boys to work picking raspberries for snacking (and for pie!):
Patiently waiting for the sunscreen to soak in before jumping in for a morning swim:
From the pool to the beach!
Digging, and playing in, an enormous hole:
Waves!
Snack time!
Run away ghost crab! The boys were determined to catch one, but they never did!
Oma and Papa took Lila home for a nap while the rest of us went to the museum. Rudy had been here most recently, so he was proud to play the role of tour guide.
Working again, this time husking the corn for dinner:
Raspberry picking, pool, beach, aquarium, pool, dinner, pool...wonder why they're so tired?!
Digging up periwinkles and sand crabs:
Boogie boarding. The waves were perfectly sized for little boys...breaking a little further out, so they could just hop on and ride the end in.
