zoo
It was so beautiful yesterday that we decided to get outside and go to the zoo. 70 degrees in February calls for a special road trip! We'd never been to this zoo and loved how close we could get to many of the animals.
Feeding the emus...they kind of scared us with their dinosaur looking selves!
On the skyride, over the rhinos and cheetahs.
The best part was feeding the giraffes. Just last week, I'd put a picture of a giraffe in Rudy's lunchbox with a note that giraffes' tongues can be up to 18" long. Definitely true...these tongues were long and almost prehensile. Weird!
Back at the budgie aviary. The kids easily spent 45 minutes in here and probably could have stayed another hour!

MORE kitten pictures
We seem to be waning (finally) with the number of kitten pictures taken on a regular basis. They are awfully cute, though, so we do have quite a few pictures from the past month...

shrinky dinks
Blake and Heather bought the boys shrinky dinks for Christmas. I'd forgotten how much fun they are and the boys LOVED them! We'll definitely be on the lookout for more!
