Day 6 - Costa Maya

Costa Maya was very much a spring break type destination, but we don't think the boys noticed and it was certainly amusing for the adults to watch other people make fools of themselves. (Of course, I'd hate to think what the Mexican employees think of Americans...)

The beach was small and rocky, so we camped out by the pool and spent the day there.

After the drunken revelers on the other ships left, the boys confiscated the yard cups for pool toys!

Heading back to our boat (which seemed even more stately and regal after watching the other ship's passengers!!)

Formal night #2. I received many compliments on my two handsome escorts!

Rosy cheeks. (Bad mommy! Not enough sunscreen!) We treated him to a virgin daiquiri tonight!

Walter, the wine steward, was great with the kids. Every night, he had a new magic trick or other treat to show them.

Photo session...

We headed up to the tippy top of the ship. Lila smothered Brady with bear hugs. She sure loved having him around!

Checking out the stars with my new phone app!

Bedtime!

Back at the room, with our towel monkey!

The rest of us played a few games of Uno, while these two dozed on...

Day 5 - Cayman Islands

We knew the early tenders to Cayman would be crowded, so we took our time in the morning before trying to get ashore. Rudy had some time to play with his soldiers:

He counted out ten to bring with us to the beach. There were a few excursions that we seriously considered here - the turtle farm or Stingray City, especially. I've been to Grand Cayman before and know I want to go back for more than a day anyway, so we decided to keep it simple and stick to 7 mile beach for the day today.

We took a taxi to 7 mile beach and found a quiet spot all to ourselves.

Beautiful water, soft sand, and warm sun - just about perfect!

That night, Lila tried watermelon pie for dinner. I think she liked it!

The boys, busting out their dance moves on deck:

Day 4 - At sea

Today was a lazy day at sea. We didn't have anywhere to go or anything specific to do, so we started with room service breakfast, a unique treat for the boys!

We could see Cuba off the port side for most of the day:

We spent a lot of time hanging out at the pool:

Don't worry, the drink is non-alcoholic...

Lila had a huge hamburger for dinner, which she insisted on eating all by herself.

She was pretty happy about it too!

Another dinner nap:

Lila, finally warmed up to James:

She really fell in love with Brady today too, and was happy to hang out with him the rest of the week.
