We had the neighborhood crowd over last week for a fun-filled morning: breakfasting, crayfish hunting at the creek, slip-n-sliding, and flooding the sandbox!
Everyone lined up for sunscreen:

Success! They all trooped over to Candy's house to feed Jacob's fish.
We didn't even plant this sunflower...it's a volunteer from a seed that fell last year, I guess. It is truly enormous!
Keep in mind that James is 6 1/2 feet tall!
The kids both took several weeks of swim lessons from a friend of mine. It's amazing how much they improved in just an hour a day! They're both now at least somewhat competent at freestyle and backstroke.
They really did have fun at swim lessons, but Rudy sure looks irritated here:
More beach time!
We even got Brady out to play in the waves a couple of times!
We were at the Outer Banks the same weekend as a large contingent of James' extended family. We had a big family dinner as well as some time to hang out at the beach and play some basketball.
