We woke up to a dreary day with a steady downpour. We were pretty disappointed; we were mentally prepared for misty rainy days, but this was a lot more than that. The kids really wanted to go to the science museum, so this was the perfect morning for that!
James and I feel like all science centers start to seem the same after a while. The permanent displays here were pretty typical, but they had a really fun temporary dinosaur exhibit. The dinosaurs were huge, they moved, breathed, and made noises - all quite realistically!
We tried to enjoy Gas Town, the old town area of Vancouver but it was just a bit too miserable out. We made a quick loop and grabbed lunch before moving on. On the agenda for the afternoon was Stanley Park. Pretty much as well pulled onto the park roads, the rain stopped. It wasn't really clear out anymore, but it was pleasant to walk around.

After we stopped at the totem poles, we took a loop around to see where we wanted to hike. We found a nice semi-loop hike from the top.
There was a huge windstorm a few years ago that blew down over 10,000 trees. It was interesting how the baby trees were growing right out of the dead ones!
The hike took us around to a viewpoint of Siwash Rock. (Later, we parked near the water and walked to the same rock at sea level.)
We turned the camera over to Brady. (The boys took turns using the camera each day.)
