Best Friend Song

Latest laughs from Rudy:

It's OK, Mommy. We can unrase it. [When practicing his letters on a dry erase mat.]

No Brady! This is only for 3 year olds! [When he didn't want to share something with his brother.]

When am I old enough to be a basketballer? [When he wanted to wear Brady's old basketball jersey.]

I don't matter. [He really means to say, "It doesn't matter to me."]

F-craft carrier = air craft carrier

putmatoes = tomatoes

Why did he pass his fearance? [Asking about a pass interference call at the high school football game]

James couldn't quite get it on video, but Rudy was singing a best friend song tonight; it went something like this...

Kearsten, Kearsten, Kearsten
She is my best friend

And Brady and Ben are my best friends
TOO.

Kearsten is a little girl in his class...he started talking about her the first day, but could only describe her as the "girl in the yellow shirt." The second and third day he still talked about the little girl, but this time was sure to specify that "she didn't have her yellow shirt on because it was dirty. But she had hair in a long thing...what's it called, Mommy? Yeah...a pony tail."

After a few weeks, he finally agreed to ask her name and came home from school convinced it was Abby. The next day, he pointed her out and she's actually a Kearsten (still not sure who Abby is!). In any case, he is quite taken with her and even had to protect her today from the "big kids on the playground because they were roaring at her and she didn't like it so [I] told them to stop."
