We took a field trip with Nana and Popsie to the safari park. If you're ever in need of some giggles, then THIS is the place to go.
Excited and ready!
The first animals were waiting at the gate. They were relatively polite. A nice introduction to what was coming...
The giggles start...
Then the critters started sneaking up! We'd be feeding one through one window, and another would stick his head in a different window or even through the sunroof.
Some more giggles...
The camels were downright rude! They'd stick their entire heads into the car and pull on the buckets with all their might. We were sure to empty the buckets of most of the food before we got to the camels, because we knew they'd be stronger than we were!
Popsie decided to feed the camel through the sunroof. I don't think Nana appreciated it!
And then this guy. WOW! He was nice enough but SO HUGE. And so, so slobbery. He left a lot of bison slobber behind.
Just a few of our new friends...
There is another mini-zoo in addition to the drive-through safari tour. Of course, the kids had to visit with the budgies...
Feeding the giraffes. These guys weren't nearly as nice as the ones at the Richmond zoo!
The piglets were only 1 week old. Good thing mama was there to remind us how big they'd get, or we might want to have taken the babies home!
One...two...three...four...little monkeys
Thanks for a great day!
