July 4 is my parents' anniversary, and they love having family around. Between the east coast shark attacks, holiday weekend crowds, and Lila's cast, we all decided that we'd be just as happy at the pool as at the beach.
Rudy worked hard helping with the trifle:
Teddy is quite enamored with snowcones, so was particularly thrilled to learn that Oma has her own snowcone machine now!

It was a nice day to just be together, with no particular agenda. We headed down to the oceanfront for fireworks to round out the day.
